Restorations



Guard-Lee has had the great privilege of working to stabilize, repair, and restore historic aerospace artifacts. A few examples follow:

2014: Replace artifact launch tables of Juno II and Jupiter C rockets at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

2013: Clean and stabilize a complete Space Shuttle Main Engine for display at Space Shuttle Atlantis.

2012-2013: Prepare and augment Space Shuttle Main Engine nozzles for the retired Orbiters Discovery, Endeavour, and Atlantis.

2011: Clean and Stabilize Apollo era J-2 and H-1 rocket engines for Kennedy Space Center.

2006: Relocate, refurbish, and install a 747 nose section in the America By Air Gallery of the National Air and Space Museum, Washington, D.C.

2005: Refurbish and restore select vehicles for the Air Force Space and Missile Museum, Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. These included a Matador, a Snark, and a Polaris missile.

2004: Repairs and restoration to hurricane-damaged Delta 19 and Juno II rockets for Kennedy Space Center.
